Episode 134: On the Linebackers

January 8, 2020

News and More: One of the region's top wholesale distributors of fresh fruits and veggies is eyeing a move to Canby. Their application to build a new, state-of-the-art facility goes before the Planning Commission on Monday. A connection with the Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway — the state's top attraction for cyclists — could be in the cards for future development of the Molalla Forest Road Trail.

Canby Conversation: "They are nice young men. They like to give back. They take care of their mother. I'm far more proud of them in that sense than the football thing." Those words from Canby resident Pam Wilson, whose nephews include NFL linebackers Mychal and Eric Kendricks. Eric's Minnesota Vikings and Mychal's Seattle Seahawks both take the gridiron this weekend with their Super Bowl hopes on the line. Only one thing is certain: Aunt Pam's throat will be sore come Monday.

After the Break: Andrea from Los Dos Agaves teaches us some new words. Finally, on Canby Then, the tragic story of a trusted financial wizard whose offer seemed too good to be true, and it was.
